The next meeting of the Warrior Band Fans will be Monday, February 8 at 7:00 PM. Hope to see you there!
Winter Guard Donations
We need to collect donations for the concession stand at the Winter Guard competitions. We especially need soft drinks: Dr. Pepper, Coke, Sprite, Gatorade, Water, and diet drinks. We will need over 1500 drinks so watch those ads and get them when they are on sale. We also need anything non-perishable such as chips and snacks. If you would like to help out, but would rather donate money, you may do that as well. This will enable us to shop for the smaller items we need. If you send drinks, please label them "Winter Guard" and send to the band hall. If you donate cash or check, please put it in an enevelope labeled "Winter Guard Donation" and have your child drop it in the band safe. We can't do this without you - thank you for your support!
Important Dates
The events calendar has been updated with new events throughout the spring and into next school year. More information on specific items will be coming, but check the calendar now to be sure you don't miss a thing! If you know of an incoming freshman band member for next year who could benefit from this information, please pass along our Web address to them.
Winter Guard - UPDATED INFO
It's that time again! We will once again be hosting Regional and Championship events for Winter Guard this spring. The dates are Saturday, March 6 and Fri/Sat, March 26 & 27. As you know, this is a huge undertaking and requires the assistance of every parent and student we have. While this is a guard event, the funds raised benefit the ENTIRE band - and we can't pull it off without the support of our entire band family. Sign up sheets are below. Please mark these dates on your calendar and begin thinking about how you would like to help. If you have any questions, contact Cindy Rummel at cindy.rummel@gpisd.org.

Spring Trip - General Information
The spring trip has been set for April 22-25; they will be traveling to South Padre Island. The cost of the trip will be $550 and payments will begin mid-November. The contract has been sent home and the first payment was due on November 20. Remember, there is a $10 late fee for each late payment. Click these links for a contract and itinerary. Please read the contract carefully - there are NO REFUNDS issued for students who are unable to attend for any reason, including grades.
Chaperones Needed
Wouldn't you like to take a break and visit South Padre Island? Then sign up to be a chaperone for the band's spring trip! We need at least one adult per 10 students - that's about 15 chaperones total. The cost for chaperones is $450. The Band Fans is truly a family organization and without the support of the Band Fans, our Warrior Band could not be as successful as it is. Click below for a membership form. Remember, it is only $10 join for the entire family.
